The group, which meets online on Monday afternoons European time, has recently begun reading the original Latin version of John Jewel’s ‘Apologia ecclesiae anglicanae’. This book is a founding document of the English church in the second half of the 16th century. Translating this text together will help you practice your Latin language skills and introduce you to the making of the Elizabethan Church. The group is open to anyone with a sufficient knowledge of Latin. You can join at any time. The date and time of the next meeting can be found at www.wittenbergcenter.net/latin.
